Comment: Recently I got interested in collecting and researching coins. I couldn’t find a lot of help on how to begin and what to do and in my area. I found this man’s dealership on the ANA website and saw that he serviced the Central coast area where I like to visit. I called his phone number and spoke with him about possibly meeting. He is very easy to talk to and made it very apparent that he was willing to meet and share his unlimited knowledge and experience with me. I asked him how much it would cost, and he said it would cost me nothing.About two weeks later, I went on a small vacation to the area and called ahead to meet with him which he was eager and most flexible about what day and time would be best for me. I met with him at his office and spent over an hour soaking up his knowledge and getting all my questions answered. I am grateful to him and glad I found someone willing to provide knowledge and customer service that is almost nonexistent these days. Again there was no charge and he actually gave me a coin to take home.So, if you are a new coin collector or even have been at it a while, I would recommend calling Tim and going to see him. Comment: We were offered $500.00 for this 1861 confederate half dollar on E Bay. We took the sale down to make sure we knew what we had.I googled coins in my area and Tims business popped up. I called Tim about the coin I have had for more than 40 years stored in a metal box with other coins. After we sent pics, Tim said can we meet. At his office Tim inspected the coin and became excited that we may have something. Its called a Scott Restrike. Tim told us all the things we could do but suggested we have it certified. I had a great sense of comfort sitting with Tim as he told us all that he had learned about Scott Restrikes. So we had him send it off to be certified. And that it was. The coin had value from 3,000.00 to 12,000.00 possibly. And we would never had known it if we never contacted Tim. Yes we could have sold it for $500.00 and at my age done what I wanted, that is downsize. But the upsized selling price. And best of all we met a man that was very interesting and honest. The honesty is what we should all be proud of having a friend like Tim. Thank you Tim for the experience of meeting you.

He let me know what the retail value was and what he would pay me for it. I thought he was very upfront and knowledgeable. Not only did he gladly help me he went above and beyond....So much time he devoted to me helping me learn what coins my dad left us when he passed. Tim took the time to ask my wife questions and when he had an idea of her preferences presented her with several options. She was very pleased with her selection and the price shocked us both. Very reasonable. The irony of this little story is that a couple of days ago she found her original wedding ring in an old purse she hasnt used for years. Tim very patiently tested my gold necklaces, bracelets and earrings and discovered that one of the items was 18 karat gold and the other pieces were 14 karat gold. I reached out to him and he indeed turned out to be the best. I met with him at his place in Pasadena and had a wonderful experience as he appraised my collection and offered a reasonable amount for the collection.
