Comment: What a great experience working with Silver Linings and our person Christine. I couldn’t have done this move without her and her team, Michelle and Beth. Christine’s coordination, suggestions, shepherding, counsel, ideas, and just practical help was a gift beyond measure. Michelle and I worked together for several days moving and organizing the kitchen and BR. She too has skills that shined! She read my mind making my bathroom and kitchen set up instantly useable. Beth slayed the closet dragons and we could find our clothes which was terrific. Moving is stressful, especially downsizing from large two-story home filled with 30 years of life to a lovely single story. They coordinated the movers (who were terrific, professional, and so careful with all my fragile things), getting my unwanted items and furniture removed, and completed endless other details. I have organized our past moves but am glad I didnt do that; Silver Linings made all the difference. The night I moved in our bed was made and I could find all my things and be operating the next day. Having the help packing and unpacking with professional home organizers is a whole new level of fantastic! I thank Jamie, Dawn and the rest of the team mentioned above from the bottom of my heart.

They made our move from our home of 53 years to a Senior Living apartment smooth and easy.Our project Lead was Roxanne. She was always enthusiastic, encouraging, organized and especially knowledgable. She effectively managed us quickly and efficiently through our significant downsizing. Pro Delivery Service, whom SLT worked with, did an outstanding job of safely moving all of our furniture and goods to our new apartment. Roxanne and her team then placed everything in the appropriate locations. Comment: Moving my mom was an extremely challenging effort and the folks at Silver Linings were there every step of the way. Highly recommend them. Id highlight my super stars, Amanda who coordinated my Moms move and home review and Jenny who has helped me muddle through some 15,000 photos including dozens and dozens of framed, taped, pinned and matted images. They came up with a fabulous creative eay to bring my moms past and present to life in her new home and Ill be forever grateful. And Jami, the boss, is also always reachable and willling to take some time sharing past experiences and recommendations. Thankfully/hopefully I wont have to go through this again, but theres no doubt who I would call if I do!

Comment: Our story is quite unique and special, at least to us. We learned of Silver Linings Transitions through our Senior Living Consultant, Jennifer Afalava of Care Excellence Team. Shortly thereafter my Mom and I met the founder Jami Shapiro, and then her amazing team during an extremely difficult time. Everyone was wonderful and put my Mom at ease right away. My Mom took a special liking to Amanda and Beth. Theyre so positive and kind and even though my Mom had to leave her home of 25 years, knowing these young women would take care of everything, made the process much easier. Our first move with Silver Linings was from the home to a one bedroom unit at Santianna Signature Living in Carlsbad. Months later Silver Linings was with us again when my Mom had to move into a Studio on another floor. Then Silver Linings was with us once again for another move from Santianna into Vienna @ Santianna Memory Care, which was the hardest move yet. Amanda was there for each one of the moves, which was a Godsend, especially for my Mom, who was struggling with this move the most. If it wasnt for Silver Linings we would have never been able to get through everything that has happened in the last 15 months. We are so grateful to Silver Linings for their compassion, special and creative talents to make everything perfect and for truly CARING about those who they are helping.

Comment: The girls are very thorough and professional. They came to our house way before the move and helped us decide what furniture would git in our new home. They then mae a floor plan of where all the furniture would be place in the new home. Christine and Dawn made the move so easy and stress free. They know how to efficiently pack up the house and unpack us into our nee place.

Comment: I cant say enough positive things about Silver Linings Transitions! I had two very messy, cluttered, and uninviting closets that needed clearing out, but I wasnt able to do it myself. I felt a major block and couldnt get myself to even go in and spend more than a minute inside. I finally called Jami and team, and they came and helped me clear it all out in just a couple of hours. They asked me the right questions that helped me make progress on letting go of many clothes and papers and stuff that I no longer needed. I feel so much lighter and freer now. I am so incredibly grateful and hope you take the chance and hire them. You wont regret it!

As a Senior Placement agency, we referred our client to them and they coordinated the move, packed the belongings, took pictures of the set up at their home and made it a replica for our client in her new home! When our client walked into her apartment, it was as if she moved her house and set it up herself. She was close to tears and couldn’t believe how perfect everything looked. Comment: Jami and her team helped us with a tricky move and did an outstanding job. We were moving from 1 apartment to 2, so we were very concerned that things would get routed and packed correctly, and that our new, smaller apartments would not be overcrowded. Our move consultant, Christine, met with us to figure out what would fit and helped us decide how to get rid of the surplus items. She also drew two floorplans to scale for the new apartments that were extremely helpful. On packing day she came with two colleagues, and everything was quickly, carefully, and expertly packed and labeled for distribution at the new building. On moving day she was there first thing to coordinate the movers and make sure that everything was loaded in the truck in the proper sequence so that it would come off accordingly. We did not contract for unloading or unpacking assistance, but everything was so well organized and communicated to the movers that all I had to do was stand there and watch things go right where they were supposed to. I think that if NASA is looking for someone to organize the next moon landing, Christine is the one!

Comment: Jami and her staff person, Beth, beautifully packed the items from my moms apartment that we guessed she would want in assisted living, as she wasnt there to choose herself. Beth was able to get a feel for how to arrange my moms assisted living space with the same feel and heart that her apartment had. She did a beautiful job...She coordinated well family, the assisted living facility and the actual movers who she met at the property with the beautifully packed belongings, met them at assisted living and unpacked everything. This was a job well done!!!

Comment: Without any hesitation whatsoever, I wholeheartedly endorse Silver Linings Transitions. If you are a senior, or family member trying to move a senior from their home into a community (or heck even within the community), I would recommend reaching out to Jami Shapiro and her team. At Seacrest Village, I help seniors with their moves all the time and whenever there is a family who says things like: My parents have been in their house for 45 years and have so much stuff I dont even know what to do. or My folks need help letting go of stuff before they move. or I dont live in San Diego and my [father/brother/mother/sister] need help moving... I tell them to call Silver Linings Transitions. They literally handle everything from counseling people on what to keep/pitch, boxing items, managing the movers, unpacking on the other end, and delicately and respectfully setting things up for people so that they move into a FINISHED home. They have added a ton of value to many of our residents and their families.

As a single father, I never quite got settled in and decorated so I hired the Silver Linings Transitions team to make my new home feel more “homey. Comment: My wife and I recently moved from our home of 26 years to new digs. Our realtor, Bryan Devore, introduced us to Jami Shapiro, who manages Silver Linings Transitions. The folks at Silver Linings Transitions did an exceptional job of making our move as painless as possible. First they did a survey of our furniture and compared the occupied floor space of the old place with that of the new place, making suggestions of how to fit everything after the move. They packed up our belongings, including clothes, books, kitchenware, china, condiments and spices, wall decorations and pictures, and unpacked everything to convenient locations in the new home. They artistically arranged paintings, hanging art, and ceramics, and placed books attractively in bookshelves. They literally saved us weeks of unloading boxes and finding places for everything to go. Their services are heartily to be recommended!

Comment: My 89 year old father is a wonderful man and found himself loaded down with boxes upon boxes of clutter overfilling his apartment in a retirement community. Lots of stuff covering the couch, tables, floor and all available surfaces. Lets just say it got away from him. After spending some time in a medical facility recovering from a mishap the community asked that we make his apartment safe prior to his return. We found Silver Linings and were impressed with the timely follow-up, impressive communications skills and can-do attitude that Jami demonstrated prior to the job. During the cleanup her two experts Lisa and Dawn were outstanding in their work ethic and sensitivty to my fathers happiness with their work. I cannot recommend them higher. I give them double 5-stars. Thats right, 10 stars! Bravo!!!

With only a weeks notice they were able to help my client with her move and seamlessly pack, unpack, and beautifully decorate her new apartment. It was so easy on our end, as once I called Jamie and asked for her help, she set the wheels in motion and Lisa and her team were on top of everything with excellent customer service and care. What typically would be stressful was as easy as could be.
