Comment: Sorry this review is late and posting. I have two amazing Persian rugs and one beautiful Persian or Asian style made in India rugTwo of the rugs are very large somewhere between 10 and 11 feet x 12-16 feet. Those I bought, wow, 40 years ago! There’s another little Persian rug that’s about 4’ x 3’ that my mother bought 50 years ago.All the rugs them selves or somewhere between 60 and 100 years old or more.They had never been professionally cleaned. I think they were cleaned a couple times with a Machine you rent from the hardware store and of course many times with a homestyle “professional“ rug cleaning machine. I knew it was time and I found this company amazing. They were friendly and helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. As the roads are heavy for a small fee they picked them up and they were returned themThey also sent me videos of them being cleaned and I was shocked at the amount of dirt coming off of them As well as the fact that I was being told that was a lot of old animal urine, from my dogs, over the years, still on them - despite my efforts at cleaning-There were some minor repairs how do you get done and the fringe had to be adjusted.It did take about three months or less for them to be completed but I had told them at the beginning time was not an issue. They could do other work before mine so I had no problem waiting for them.And when they returned them I was amazed. The colors just seemed more vibrant and well the repairs were not visible and they looked as good as the day I bought them. I thought they look great when I asked him to bring them - I did so just because I suspected they could look even better- and I was right.I could not have been more pleased and will and have refer friends to them and strangers alike(PS please excuse the poor grammar)

Comment: I had the same excellent experience as all the other reviewers: Kash and Dr Kay are knowledgeable, friendly, passionate and do outstanding work. Id like to add praise for the education they gave me. I inherited two fine old rugs from my family: a long Persian runner and a large rectangular Navajo rug. Dr. Kay was able to tell me not only that the rugs were very high quality and from the early 1920s (which I knew), but he added some history. The runner is Kurdish in origin, and extremely rare because of its long length (17 feet). The Kurds have been so oppressed and harrassed for so long that they normally dont have time to complete a rug that long. Its too big a commitment. I was humbled to learn this. Dr. Kay elevated my appreciation of the rug and increased my knowledge of world history. And he did it with warmth and kindness. Rug Ideas is absolutely the very best.

Comment: You know what they say you get what you pay for and it is especially true in this case. I was given a lovely wool rug by my friend who was moving back to the UK. It reminded me of a Charles Rennie Macintosh design and I had always admired it. It was not in a high traffic area but it sat under a table for 20 years with generations of dogs who had snuggled it. When I received it I thought about trying to clean it myself but quickly realized that would be no easy feat. I found Rug Ideas online and the great reviews won me over. But I was concerned the price would be prohibitive since they do super fancy rugs. Thankfully I found the price to be very reasonable so I went for it and crossed my fingers for a positive result. Well the result was beyond positive! Not only is the rug clean, fresh and smelling nice - they patched a place on the reverse where the lining was coming away from the back and fixed a spot that had wear on it. The rug looks and smells new.FYI the kind of work they do takes time. It was 3 weeks from drop off to pick up but it was time well spent. I was in no hurry to get the rug back. It was more important to me to get it done right the first time. Now I feel like this piece will be something I can keep for years and years.I can without any reservation recommend Rug Ideas. If you have a rug that needs some love they will make it happy again!FYI rolled up photo is dirty, unrolled is clean!!

Comment: Kash is truly an expert! I picked up this Restoration Hardware rug from a neighbor for free and it was in super bad shape. Pet stains, snags, dust, smelly, just overall really nasty shape. Kash got all of the stains out, colored in the areas that were faded, fixed the tears and snags, and brought it back to life! Its a family-owned business and everyone is so genuine and so nice. I cannot recommend them enough!!

They took the time to explain all rug cleaning options and prices, which were extremely reasonable for the incredible quality of work they do. We had a very difficult stain on our nice Persian rug and had issues with fraying. They completely removed the stain and fixed the fraying, the rug honestly looks new again! Comment: We had a 200 year old Persian Carpet, with multiple stains and color fading, the ends were torn and the cross thread were coming out, the edges were bent. If we did not have sentimental value we might have thrown it in the thrash. Once Kash got his hands on it and did his magic, (it did take a few months, but we were in no rush) it was like new, we could not believe our eyes, he had very masterfully repaired the broken edges and ends. Removed the stains and recolored the faded areas. Remarkable service would recommend his service to everyone.

Comment: I have a designer rug that my cat threw up on and left a stain. After doing a search I came across Rug Ideas and their perfect 5 star rating. I took my rug in and everyone was extremely nice and helpful in explaining my options and pricing, which by the way is very well priced. Kash is the main guy who took my rug in and helped with everything. Hes fantastic, very communicative and thorough. When I dropped the rug off they gave me a tour of their facility and all the different procedures the rug will go through during the cleaning process. The rug came out great and I will definitely be going here any other time I need my rugs cleaned. Highly recommend!

Comment: This place is amazing. The work they do here was really incredible to watch — from the cleaning and drying process to hand-sewing repairs, they really know what they are doing. Dr. Kay and Kash were wonderful to work with and there is no one else we would trust to maintain the condition of our rug. We bought it in Istanbul in 2014 and it was way overdue for a cleaning from foot traffic plus a few stains from our elderly pup before he passed away. It now looks as good as it did when we bought it and feels even better!

They dont just do rug cleaning and alteration - they are the rug masters, they live and breathe rugs.My parents shipped an expensive rug across the country to their store where they made alterations so that it would fit my space here in LA. The rug has been in our family for decades and is worth thousands. Dr. Kay not only made me feel safe about how their master rug weavers would do an excellent job altering the rug but also told me the origin of the designs on the rug and what they symbolize which I never would have known had I not taken it there.Its a family business they have been running for decades and Dr. Kays son, Kash is equally passionate and friendly. If you have any doubts that this is not the best place you could possibly take your rug to get cleaned or altered - just search Kash Sobhe on instagram and watch his videos cleaning and altering and restoring rugs. This is how a business should be run! So happy with my restored and altered rug!

Comment: I cannot recommend Rug Ideas enough. They were extremely thorough and careful with my 35 year old Belgian rug that I inherited from my parents. I admittedly had not taken care of it (especially through college years / 20s) and had even stored it rolled up on an outside porch for the past year. They really did a makeover on it and its practically brand new. They are also extremely nice people and texted me updates along the way. I did my research before choosing them and nobody does what they do.

Comment: I love this place. I sent them my beloved living room rug, which was dirty and frayed. They returned not only a clean, beautifully restored rug but also told me that it is a vintage, valuable Portuguese needlepoint! I went to pick it up which is actually informative and fun because you get a tour of the facility. Great!!!!! Highly recommend for any rug, but particularly valuable cherished ones.
