I finally was able to pick them all up today & again they were so polite & 2 employees helped carry them all to my car! Comment: This review goes way back to 1978. I was absolutely broke but had just been hired at the sheriff’s dept. Besides needing money for my first uniform, I needed survival money until my first paycheck.I wasn’t a regular customer (yet) and all I had to pawn was my handgun.I explained what I needed & why and without hesitation, they loaned me about the total value of my gun! At the time, I had no idea that was far from normal. Apparently they felt sorry for me and somehow knew I’d pay back the loan.I was able to buy my first uniform the same day & started work the following morning. It was a long two weeks before I got paid! Hand washing that same uniform each night etc..Payday finally came! I got my gun back & bought a second uniform. I never forgot what they did for me. As a result, I was a regular customer for years before I moved out of state.I never pawned or sold anything else but must have bought a truckload of goodies from there over the years. Selection was always good and prices were very fair. The service was outstanding! It was the service that kept me coming back.Of course they exist to make a profit, but they also put a very high priority serving their community. I hope nothing has changed over the years.I’ve visited other pawn shops around the country without being impressed. I never bothered going back to any of the others.

She made sure the gold matched the gold in the cross I was going to wear on it. I went on a whirlwind shopping spree with Dixie. I found some replacement pieces of jewelry, that were lost in the Campfire (11/8/18) in Paradise, Ca.Arron was very knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and fair on the pieces I traded in. Their prices were more than reasonable, the quality of the merchandise blew me away. I like pieces that WALK and TALK and Dixie showed me pieces that exceeded my expectations. The business was clean with an extensive assortment of merchandise. Service was excellent. We will be back for more great finds and visit with the wonderful people we met. We had the privilege of meeting Joan, and she is absolutely delightful. She discussed how she had started the business years ago and its growth over the years. Her son, Landon, who co-runs it now for her, is an amazing, knowledgeable and personable man. We went in the store as acquaintances and left feeling very much like family. Comment: I have both sold to and purchased things from Palace in the past, but this review is more about the people working here. The other day I had some camera gear stolen from my car, and after filing a police report I called Palace Jewelery and Loan because they were the closest pawn shop to where my stuff was stolen. Justin was the guy I talked to, and he was immediately very sympathetic, and took a list of all my gear and told me that he would look out for it and also notify their other location to be on lookout. Well, I got lucky and the thief went right to Palace, and Justin himself called me back to let me know he had my gear sitting on his desk and had called the cops. A short while later I was there retrieving my gear and I was even in time to look the thief in the eye as he was getting hauled off. A huge thanks to Justin for going out of his way to take my info down and for recognizing it when he saw it. I know this is part of his job, but to me he went above and beyond, and thanks to him I have my livelihood back in my hands! Thank you Justin, and thank you to Palace Jewelery and Loan!

You must also realize that the laptop you brought in is by no means the first laptop weve ever seen on my counter. We typically have a good idea what WE can get HERE in OUR store on that item, maybe Super Pawn has a better customer base for laptops, maybe they dont mind only breaking-even on their inventory, being that they have CashAmericas corporate bank account to pay the bills if that store doesnt make enough on its own. Laptops are just something that, unfortunately we dont have a whole lot of luck with on the re-sale end of things, so what we pay for them needs to reflect that. Also, there is an UNBELIEVABLE difference between the price that Amazon can sell a used/refurbished laptop for, and what a jewelry store in downtown Reno, NV can get for them... Believe me when I say that I am not, by any means, attempting to defend my demeanor or choice of words that I may have used, for which I sincerely apologize. I am only defending our stance on how/why we conduct business the way we do. I have many happy customers, and repeat loan clients of well over 40 years, I only hope you can give us a shot in the future to make you a happy customer as well.

Comment: The BEST place to shop......I went into Palace to check on their stock of diamonds and left with a $17,000 ring.From the moment I walked in, the staff were attentive, and the selection was great. I had visited at least 3 other pawn shops close by and none of them came close to the number of large diamond rings that these guys have for sale.....and the place is really clean and professional, the others were on the dirty, sleezy side.Matt (sales) not only showed me lots of rings, he let me try them all on....what fun! He was knowledgeable and spent a great amount of time answering my questions. And best of all, I felt NO PRESSURE to buy. Bryan (manager) and Don (loan manager) were right there also to help with anything they could. I even received a personal escort back to my car!If you have ever worked with the public, you know there are always people who are more than willing to complain about anything, and some people can never be pleased....I think that is what is behind any poor ratings given to this business. I would NEVER hesitate to go back in just to look or buy again. I am telling you, if you want more bling for your buck, go to this place and ask for Matt....these guys really are the best.

I thought my items may have been worth more, but the staff were very respectful in educating me on the jewelry market and I was given a fair price. I bought a 1.05 ct VS2 I color stone for a quarter of the price that Jarad was asking. The jeweler even reset the stone in a brand new setting that we designed! I was sincerely impressed with the service I received. If anyone needs a loan, or to sell jewelry I highly reccomend going to Palace Jewelry and Loan and seeing that young, really good looking manager behind the counter.
