I drove from LAX to Pasadena to deal with Nick at LA Cash For Gold because he has the spot price of gold on his website, the transaction is completely transparent. He tests the gold rite in front of you, weighs it, explains the entire process, Who else does that? Nobody!I went with my Mother In law to sell a necklace to her local person and the experience was totally different. They went in the back room to weigh it and came out with a price, then gave her a check that the bank held for 10 days because it was from some out of state corporation . What a joke. I walked out of LACashForGold.Com with CASH!To tell you the truth, Ive been working for Nick doing his Cameras, IT, and Telephone System for 15 years so I knew where I was going as soon as it hit 2k. Im using the money to have him make a wedding band for my wife and our 25th anniversary. I had him take her Wedding band and Engagement ring on our 20th to make an Incredible Engagement ring out of all the diamonds, he added a couple too.Im just happy when I can return the business to someone who has given so much work over the years. That’s exactly what my sister and I did we went through our old jewelry which brought back memories of high school in the 80’s. We then searched for a place to sell locally. We had 3 locations in the Pasadena area that had comparable 4 to 5 star reviews. LA Cash for Gold had the best overall pricing and we decided to sell our items to them. The icing on the cake for us is they paid us a really nice premium on the diamonds in our jewelry. We honestly received much more than anticipated and we plan to turn the extra cash into a fun summer vacation.

Comment: My grandfather passed last year and my mother wanted to take some of the items he left us to get evaluated. We did our research, did not really know what to expect. We visited location by our house in Hawthorne, which was a disaster. They were so pushy and I insisted we take our items and leave.We then visited LA Cash for Gold in Pasadena and to start off the jewelry store was beautiful. We met the owner, who greeted us and carefully evaluated the jewelry. We were so happy we decided to sell most of the items. There were a few things that even the owner suggested keeping, like my grandfather’s old pocket watch with inscriptions.The following week, my mother asked to go to Nick again to sell some gold coins and after the second trip to the shop I had to leave a review.

Comment: I had 2 one ounce Panda Gold Coins; everywhere I called gave me the run around. On one phone called I was on hold for over 30 minutes for a supervisor. Then when I spoke to the person they said they need to see my coins in person to give me a price? What a joke.I then found LA Cash for Gold and called and spoke to Nick. He told me they do not give pricing over the phone but the actual prices are listed on their website. Also the prices are live and they fluctuate with the current stock market price for gold. (Exact words)That sounded easy and fast and very honest. I found the pricing on their website for one ounce coins and decided to go in. They paid exactly what was posted. It was the most simple and transparent transaction. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to sell gold.Just a note; I visited 2 other locations in Arcadia and Pasadena first and you can honestly see the difference of how Nick and co. treats their customers right when they walk in the door. Comment: We were cleaning out my parents estate and found a bunch of Silver 10 ounce bars along with silver flatware (forks, knifes, spoons) I called around and a few companies said they would charge to test the flatware. No one had pricing. Then I found Nick at LA Cash for Gold in Pasadena. After speaking with him (he provided all the info I needed and pricing was on the companies LA Cash for Gold website) I drove to the store and he treated us like family. He first went through the silver bars and then the flatware. We got so much more than we thought we would. He actually paid us 90% of the current market value for our silver bars.We had our parents old wedding bands, we did not want to sell them. He confirmed that they were gold and cleaned them up, we plan to pass them down to our kids.

The service and the attention to detail along with explanation of pricing when they bought my jewelry was great. I was expecting to get only scrap gold prices the owner informed me that my ring would be resold as an pre-owned ring; so I received more money for the ring VS scrap gold pricing. He also paid me for the diamonds in the ring.I cant say enough good things about this place. Like some of the other reviews mentioned its a pretty high class place unlike a pawn shop. They have some really unique jewelry.

Anyway after I found some old jewelry that I havent worn in decades and I found out the current gold prices arent bad, I decided to find a place to sell them. First I drove way too far to a branch of a small chain of buy gold stores. They lowballed me with a 64% of spot price, then they kept on haggling with me with the let me call the manager tactics. at the end, even after they have finally offered me a not too bad price, I still left because i didnt care that trying to squeeze as much money out of the customers business model.Then I did some more research and found LAcashforgold. they are the only one with an upfront buy price on their site. I was very surprised no one else has that kind of transparency with buying/selling commodities! gold is gold is gold. Like gas stations dont ask you so how much do you want to pay for a gallon of gas?Anyway Nick was very professional and friendly. The process was straightforward and I was paid exactly what I expected, fair and square. Heck dont take my word for it. go check out other stores then go to LAcashforgold.
