Comment: Jonathan performed an appraisal of my home to evidence damage that I suffered as a result of catastrophic flooding. The IRS provides that we may deduct Casualty losses which is critical if your insurance isn’t going to come through for you. The difficulty is finding someone with the experience and skill set to evidence those losses in a before/after Casualty appraisal, which serves as supporting documentation for the IRS. When I contacted Jonathan about my dilemma, he immediately knew what to do, met me at the property to perform his due diligence and provided the report within a week. My CPA was impressed and I am optimistic the report will support my deduction and generate cash from my tax return so I can afford repairs sooner. Jonathan’s report was thorough and specific. I highly recommend Central Valley Home Appraisal.
