Comment: This place is awesome! I had a 10k hollow gold braclet I needed resizing. Macys, where I got it, said it would need saudering and would take up to 3 weeks. BGS saved me by letting me know what I really had, and fixed it super fast, the same day with immaculate help and knowledge! Comment: I was curious about the value of one of my rings. I called around, and other shops were quoting me $80-$120 for an appraisal. When I called this shop, Wayne offered to take a look that same afternoon for free! He did an informal, yet pretty thorough inspection on the spot, and he even cleaned it up a bit! He gave me a very detailed explanation of what he believed it to be worth and why. I walked out with a bunch of valuable knowledge and without paying a single penny. I was so grateful for Waynes time and genuine interest in educating me on my rings features and value!

Comment: This place is the only jeweler I will EVER trust with anything I need done, my family has been going here for over 40 years. They will tell you straight forward what needs to be done and they do it right the first time. The ring I had brought in isnt fixable, so I will be needed a new set but they said they will make it look like the original. I can’t be more thankful for their help. If you need jewelry fixed or anything like that, this is the place to go. If I could I’d give them 10 stars.

Comment: I am so happy with the work I got done on my wedding band with BGS Jewelers. We bought my wedding band at an antique shop on Grand Ave, I have been looking for the perfect wedding band to match my engagement ring for at least three years now. The band was a size 7 and I needed to size up to 9. After going to several jewelers I finally found BGS Jewelers, I spoke with Maria who was so kind, patient, and very helpful with all my questions. She even was able to tell me the color and clarity grade, which no one else was able to do. Because of the style of the band she explained the process of how they would resize it. The price she quoted me was less than I was expecting to pay and it was ready in 24 hours! When I went to pick it up I got to meet and chat with the owner who is such a cool guy. I could not have asked for a better experience. They will be my go to jewlers for all my future needs.

Comment: I was gifted a very special medal after my grandma passed away a couple of weeks ago and needed to get it reinforced since its a 60+ year old piece of jewelry and the ring where the necklace goes through was thinning.I looked all over San Diego to find the perfect place where theyll treat it with so much care since its such a big piece for me, its an heirloom.I talked to Wayne, brought him the medal and he was super honest and explained to me what he was going to do to it, he was clear about the risks and possible outcomes after treating the medal but assured me he will take care of it and Ill be happy.Something about his energy gave me the peace of mind that even if theres a risk for darkening he would do his absolute best to prevent it.He put a hook where the new necklace could pass through and honestly he did magic. I cant even describe what he did because it feels like magic.Well, what can I say? I cried when I saw the end result. He brought a 60+ year medal back to life!Thank you Wayne.

Comment: After a few unfortunate mistakes by my regular jeweler (a well known shop in RB), I found myself looking for another jeweler closer to home in escondido. I am very pleased to say that the reviews for BGS are wonderfully accurate in their 5 star praise. Maria at the counter was professional and kind. The jeweler who made my repairs (a lost stone in my wedding band and a couple of rings sized up to fit) did a flawless job and quickly at that. The prices were reasonable and they took some old, broken gold jewelry and applied that to my purchase price. I will take any future jewelry needs to this lovely, local, small business. Comment: I spent a few days going to every mall jewelry store in Escondido, Carlsbad, Fashion Valley, and Mission Valley only to be up sold at every store and to be shown everything that I did not want. Since I don’t really wear jewelry I wanted something simple but despite that request I was shown rings with meteor rocks as part of it and some very flamboyant rings that even Liberace might have turned down. My simple request for a simple ring was ignored everywhere until I came in and spoke with Maria. She didn’t try to up-sell me with any moon rocks and explained the difference between the different metals and the reason for the difference in cost for the options they gave me. Save yourself the time and hassle of being sold a ring by someone reading the Information off a catalog and go to Wayne and Maria who didn’t have to ask a manager after each question I had regarding a ring I was interested in.Thanks again Maria.

Comment: Bobs has been around forever and I always get jewellery from here. I had an old worn ring that I wanted to see if they could restore. It was sorry looking it had rust and dirt inside and there was a huge deep scratch on the band. I didnt think it would come up to be the amazing ring it once was....i was so wrong the ring was if I just bought it!!!! It was beautiful the scratch was gone!! Love you guys! you know Ill be back♡

I recently had a 50 year old wedding band that used to be my fathers. 25 his 25 mine. crack from years of abuse bobs did a great job fixing it. But I was not 100% happy. So they used my gold and rebuilt my ring better than I could have ever dreamed. They did this to make sure I was happy with my ring. Happy is an understatement. Thank you

Comment: I wish I had more stars to give. I am so impressed with this business. I brought 2 gold chains and a bracelet to be fixed. They repaired the chains and charged me less than they quoted because the job didnt require as much work as they initially thought it would. Who does that?? So impressed. They also restrung a pearl bracelet and made it look beautiful even though I was missing pearls and beads. I cant speak highly enough about BGS.

Comment: Bobs Gem Shop is a tucked back in a little shopping center and you might drive right by it if you are not familiar with the location. This is a store is a true gem and you dont want to miss if you love beautiful eye candy! They have done repairs for me and I always feel like the service is honest, genuine with a quick turn around. Their diamonds are dreamy and I always have to see whats new but what often draws my attention equally are the cases with estate jewelry displayed. When I need a quick gift (did I say for myself?), I can always find something really special.... a gorgeous sterling silver cuff with a moonstone on it was my last find. Their gold prices are always fair when you have some to cash out. I love doing business with someone that I can trust and who is in it for the long haul and wont be gone tomorrow!
